Harry O. Greene Jr., 72, Anderson, died October 9, 2008 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness.
He was born November 3, 1935 in Bloomington, Illinois, lived in this area most of his life. Harry was a retired plumber with the Anderson Community Schools. A member of Southdale Church of the Nazarene; he was an avid bowler, who also liked fishing and hunting. He was known for running errands for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Doris Smith Greene; children, Mark & wife, Lisa Greene, Kim Greene, Michelle & husband, Charles Shaw, Eric & wife, Courtney Greene, Kristina & husband, Daniel McMillen and son, Chris Greene, all of Anderson; daughter-in-law, Terri Greene-Williams of Anderson; grandchildren, Jamie, Nickie, Dustin, Tisha, Kayla, Erin, Melissa, Melinda, Matthew, Steven, Stephanie, William, Christian, Nicholas, Levi, Bradley, Mason and Olivia; nine great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Dessie Smith; and special friends, Jack Carson, Beth Winkler, Leo & Jenny Beachboard and Brandon Richards.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tim A Greene and his parents, Harry O. Greene, Sr. and Grace Dorothy Yates Greene.
