Harry L. Pittinger, Jr. 67, of Montoursville died Friday, November 11, 2011 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital.
Born February 28, 1944 in Montoursville, he was a son of Harry L. and Marjorie E. Pittinger, Sr.
Harry and his wife, the former Anna M. Wilcox, celebrated their 45th wedding
anniversary April 2, 2011.
Harry was a graduate of Loyalsock High School. He retired from Schnadig Corporation after 42 years of employment. Harry enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s ball games, riding bikes and swimming. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren. They were the light of his life.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother, a daughter, Tina (Mike) Miller of Hughesville; a brother, Ken (Ana) Pittinger of South Williamsport; four grandchildren, Ian, Zoey, Makayla and Jayce Miller and ; extended family, Ryan and Suzie Neatrour and Michele and Dave Harmon, extended grandchildren Zach Miller, and Rachael Neatrour, and Hailei and Hayden Harmon.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Beverly Packer.
