Harry G. Roberson, 91 of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2021. He was born in Rising Sun, Maryland, the oldest son of Asher Roberson and Evelyn (Plumley) Roberson. In 1945, his family moved to Tempe, Arizona, where they settled near University and Mill Avenues. Harry graduated from Tempe Union High School, and then attended Arizona State University, graduating in 1951 with a degree in education with a minor in American History. Following his graduation, he went on to join the Air Force and was stationed in Europe as his unit’s photographer. Following his discharge, he started teaching 5th grade at Griffith Elementary School, where he stayed for 31 years, until his retirement in 1988. In 1962, he married the love of his life, Dona who was recently widowed with a family of five children. He willingly took up the challenge of gaining an instant family. A year later, their son Ben was born. Harry loved to travel.
