Harry Charles Krug Sr., 86, passed away, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Lake City V.A. Medical Center. He was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to the late Otto and Cecelia (Lowendowski) Krug. He has lived in Live Oak for the past 13 years. He served his country faithfully, first with the United States Navy and then with the United States Army during World War II.
He retired from the Allegheny-Ludlum Steel Corporation after working from 1950 until 1988, where he was an electric overhead crane operator. He was a caring and giving man who was always willing to help those in need, loved talking to people and would quickly speak his mind about something but was an excellent listener as well. He liked being outdoors hunting, fishing, and working in the garden as well as working with his hands making birdhouses and clocks.
