Muncie-Harriette L. Alfont, 96, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 22, 2010, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on August 10, 1914 in Muncie, the daughter of Cecil and Ethel (Byrd) White.
Harriette married the love of her life William Raymond Alfont on March 13, 1931 and he preceded her in death on October 27, 1978. She had been a homemaker most of her life. Mrs.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara E. Undem, Muncie and Thecla Batin (husband-Robert), Celina, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Hendershot, Parker City.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her two sons, Cecil E. Alfont and William Alfont; a great granddaughter, Amanda Alfont; two brothers and three sisters.
