Wilkins, Harriett L., Kalamazoo, MI passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, after a courageous battle with a brain illness. Born October 29, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Jennie Tinklenberg Boven.
As a registered nurse, she excelled in the management of a psychiatric ward at the VA Hospital Battle Creek, MI, as well as Director of Operations of multiple senior care facilities in the Florida gulf coast region. As a successful Kalamazoo real estate agent, she was a “Top Producer” in the 1970’s and 1980’s.
She is survived by her loving husband, F. Dale Wilkins; her children, Debra Mulder of Kalamazoo, Rebekah Slager of Battle Creek and Joseph Slager of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Ted Boven of Kalamazoo and Nelson Boven of Palm Springs, California.
