Harriet Solomon, age 88, of Milford, beloved wife of the late David Solomon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2015. Born on December 27, 1926 in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred Katz. Harriet was an avid bowler who was the regional winner in earlier years. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Harriet is survived by her loving children Jeff (Ellen) Solomon of Milford, Janet Mumper of Beacon Falls and Larry Solomon of New York City, her grandchildren Daniel (Katy), Kevin (Katie), Jennifer, Brian (Liz) and Russell, and her brother Harold Katz. In addition to her husband David, she is predeceased by her sister Shirley Eierweiss and her brother Bernard Katz.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at West River Healthcare Center for their care and support given to Harriet during her stay there.
