Harold Edward Wroblewski, the son of Helen (Pruss) and Edward Wroblewski, was born February 18, 1939 near Loup City, Nebraska. He departed this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 surrounded by his family at his home in Red Cloud, Nebraska at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 4 days.

 

Harold grew up in the Loup City area and received his formal education attending the Loup City school.  He was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loup City. Harold began his life’s work as a heavy equipment operator and was employed for 13 years with John Lacy. Harold was united in marriage with Donna Killough Williams on May 1, 1982 at Gibbon, Nebraska. They later moved to Red Cloud to make their home where Harold worked for Gottsch Feed Yard and then spent a number of years with Bladen Sand & Gravel Company.

 

In his younger years Harold raised many horses and loved working with the animals. In his leisure time he enjoyed working in his yard, playing Monopoly and other board games, playing cards, and soothing his sweet tooth.  He was an excellent dancer and loved Polka music and attending wedding dances with Donna.  His greatest love and enthusiasm in life was for his family and he especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren. His personality was pervaded by a strong work ethic and a gentle disposition. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by everyone who had the pleasure to know him.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Deloris Ziola Irene Spotanski; and son, Ronald Williams on November 28, 2015.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Donna, of Red Cloud; children: Randy Williams and wife, Carol, of St. Paul, Nebraska; Robert Williams and wife, Shari, all of Wood River, Nebraska; daughter-in-law Debbie Williams of Hastings, Nebraska; Woodrow Williams and wife, Angela, of Grand Island, Nebraska; Kathy Hickman of Kearney, Nebraska; Sheri Foster and husband of Bertrand, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ann Richardson of Gibbon, Nebraska; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; his beloved dogs, Lilly and Tasha, and a host of friends.

​The rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m.
