His parents were the late Charles and Sadie Palmer Whalen May. Harold married Beatrice Ellen Haggard May on January 16, 1960, and she still survives at home.
Harold worked seven years, from 1959 to 1966, at Palm Beach of Erlanger, Kentucky. After this, he began working for GE of Evendale, Ohio. He was a very dedicated and hard worker with GE. He served proudly as a supervisor, inspector and Union Steward for 28.
