Harold “Tubby” Jabaay age 78, of DeMotte, IN passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at his residence in DeMotte, IN. He was born on January 23, 1934 in Munster, IN to Dingeman and Grace (Dykstra) Jabaay, both deceased. On August 18, 1961 in DeMotte he married Arlene Ickes and she survives.
Harold worked for over 30 years for the Carpenters Union Local 1005. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of DeMotte and of the American Legion where he had served as commander.
Harold is survived by his wife Arlene and his children; Troy (Julie) Jabaay of Hebron, Cheri Jabaay and companion Greg “Jake” Jarnecke of Kouts and Lori (Doug) DeMars of DeMotte; a sister Betty (Gilbert) Nannenga of DeMotte and 7 grandchildren Preceded in death by his parents.
