Harold “Skimp” Dean Maclin entered this life on December 20, 1954 in Limestone County, Alabama to Dorothy Kennemer Maclin and Clarence Maclin. He entered into eternal rest on March 25, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Parkway Campus.

Harold was a 1973 graduate of Tanner High School where he was an active participant on the Tanner Rattler football team.

Harold accepted Christ as his savior on Friday, March 11, 2017.

Skimp was a loving, jovial and caring person who really enjoyed life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and they usually became friends. He loved sports especially the Alabama Crimson Tide football, music, friends and most of all his family.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Dorothy and Clarence Maclin; his son, Bryan Jackson; and one sister, Barbara White.

His memory will always be cherished by: his loving and devoted companion, Ms. Joshua Garrett of Decatur; his children, Adrian (Tracy) Garrett of Tuscumbia, Torrie Murrah of Buffalo, NY, Jonathan Booker, Joshua Garrett, Lakesha Garrett and Shenicka (Bryan) Nichols all of Decatur; his siblings, Larry (Keisha) Maclin of Decatur, Vickie (Greg) Fuqua, Kimberly (Craig) Troupe both of Athens; uncle, John McLin Sr. of Tanner; aunt, Annie M. Fulp of Cleveland, OH; great aunt, Claudine Hines of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Alexander Parmley, Andria, Omarian, Ronnia, Ayanna, Zakeese, Shawn, Jonathan Jr, Jamarion, Jordin and Lindlee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
