Harold Richard Siegle, age 76, a resident of Mandeville, Louisiana, died on August 9, 2012, in Mandeville.
He was born on February 20, 1936, in Amsterdam, New York, to the late Luella and Fred Siegle. After attending Buchanan High School in upstate New York, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving for more than 21 years until June of 1974. He then worked as an administrator for the Department of Defense for another 20 years. He enjoyed gardening, but devoted most of his time caring for his beloved wife of 48 years, Liliana, who passed on June 15, 2012. He believed in the goodness of others: “Treat people nicely and they will be nice to you.”
He is survived by his daughter Rolanda Bostick and her husband Roy, of Mandeville, LA; three sons: Lawrence Siegle, of Portland, Oregon, Fred Siegle, of Baltimore, Gary Siegle and his wife Lisa, of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren Roy “Tommy” Bostick, III, of Mandeville, LA, Benjamin, Jesse, and Daniel; his sister in law Maria Rolanda Hutchings, of Pasadena; his brother in law Mario Mastrojeni, of Gaithersburg, MD; nephew Richard Hutchings, Jr., of Pasadena; three nieces: Mary Calabrese, of Annapolis, Nina Flynn, of Pasadena, and Adriana Mastrojeni, of West Virginia; and a host of grandchildren and great nephews.
