Harold Redding, 75, of Galien, Michigan died Saturday afternoon, September 14, 2013 at St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City, Indiana from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Harold was born August 5, 1938 to Glenn and Lena (Snouwaret) Redding in New Carlisle, Indiana.
He began his education in a small country school and graduated from Galien High School in 1957. On July 7, 1962 he married Donna Geminder, his high school sweetheart, at the Galien United Methodist Church. Harold retired from Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan in 1983, and then he worked at Gast Manufacturing Company in Bridgman, Michigan for many years.
Harold was always busy and he liked it that way. If he wasn’t at work, he was working around his farm, planting, harvesting, or tinkering on the equipment. Harold and Donna were a great couple, and continued to love spending time with each other and planning to grow old together. Survivors include his wife Donna; children, Julie (Ron) Davis of Buchanan; Michael Redding of Bristol, Indiana and Matthew Redding of Buchanan; grandchildren Jason and Mackenzie Redding; and his sister Margaret (Jim) Nickerson of Lydick, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Vosburgh, and brothers, William Redding, Richard Redding, Don Redding and John Redding.
