Harold Raymond Herndon, 89 of Idaho Falls died Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at his home in Idaho Falls. He was born on May 18, 1924, in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, the son of Ora Lester and Edith Mildred Vroman Herndon. Harold spent his earlier years in Shelley graduating from Shelley High School in 1942.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Herndon of Idaho Falls; a daughter, Diana (Larry) Grumman of Buena Park, California; six sons, John (Cheryl) De Koekkoek of Boise, James (Tammi) De Koekkoek of Idaho Falls, Timothy (Patti) de Koekkoek of Lakewood, California, Steven De Koekkoek of Leota, Minnesota, Harold (Amber) Herndon of Lakewood, California, and Raymond (Alisha) Herndon of Idaho Falls; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alvin and Cloyd, and a sister Ellen.
