Harold Ray Napier, of Essex, Maryland, passed away November 5, 2021 at New Haven Senior Living Center in Little River, SC. Mr. Napier was born February 27, 1935 in Clarksburg, WV to the late Forman Troy Napier and Lena Blanche Napier (nee Shreve). He was married to his late wife Josephine Napier (nee Wright) for thirty-eight years.
Mr. Napier was a long-time resident of Essex and a devoted member of First Lutheran Church of Gray Manor. He gave back to his community through church projects and support of charitable causes. He served as a volunteer driver for Meals On Wheels. Mr.
Mr. Napier is survived by a daughter, Susan Brinkmeier (James) of Little River, SC; son Forman Bradley Napier (Donna) of Huntingdon, PA; daughter Cheryl Matthew (William) of Greencastle, PA; step-son Kenneth Pugh (Mary) of Newark, DE, and step-son Christopher Pugh (Bonnie) of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by a brother, Troy Napier of Bridgeport, WV, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and other relatives and treasured friends.
Mr. Napier was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Josephine, his brother Richard Napier, his grandson John Napier, and his former wife Nancy Napier Green (nee Ware).
