Harold “Ray” Bower Sr., age 64, of Rensselaer, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at his residence.
He was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on April 30, 1956, the son of Leonard and Norma (Sullivan) Dean. Harold or ”Ray”, as he was known, attended North Newton Schools. Ray was retired from Vanguard Trailer where he worked as a painter for 25 years. Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and doing anything outdoors. He liked working on cars and racing, to include go-kart racing. He was known to many to be a very handy man who could fix almost anything.
Ray is survived by his children, Harold “Ray” (Mindy) Bower Jr. of Wolcott, IN, Candice (Donall) Sargent of Brook, IN, and Clarissa (Leroy) Houle of Rensselaer, IN; 5 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandson; and former spouse, Rita Sayers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
