Harold E. Pergrem, age 87, of San Antonio, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2007. Born in Wichita, Kansas, on February 14, 1920, he was the son of George L. and Violet Piersol Pergrem. Harold was raised in the family home in Belle Plaine, Kansas. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Theatre and retired from the U. S. Army Reserve with 35 years of service. Mr. Pergrem retired after 40 years of service with the VA Administration in 1990 with Audie Murphy VA Hospital his last place of service. Preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Georgia Lou Hickman, Mr. Pergrem is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kleo Pergrem; Daughter, Kay Pergrem; Son, Trent Pergrem and his wife, Dianne, of Alba, Texas; Grandson, Matthew Pergrem; Sister, Ala Dean Barner of Belle Plaine, KA; and brother, Bill Pergrem of Karnes City, TX.
