Harold Ralph Orme, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, May 29, 2018.
Harold was born to Parley and Mary Orme on September 15, 1929, in Idaho Falls. He grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. Harold enjoyed and excelled in physical sports, including football, wrestling and boxing. He attended Ricks College where he competed as a champion boxer with a record of 55-5-1. While at Ricks, Harold met Valois Neeley. They were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 20, 1951. They had six children.
After the death of his father, Harold and his brothers, Marion and JC, took over the family ranch in the foothills east of Bone, Idaho. He enjoyed raising sheep, riding horses, training sheep dogs and later raising cattle. He began work at the Idaho National Laboratory in the early 1960s. He worked in various jobs, including health physics and shipping coordination.
