Harold Leon Boyles, Sr., 64, of Cortland, passed away Wednesday September 22, 2010, with his loving wife and 2 children by his side at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. Harold fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for over 18 years. He was born on February 14, 1946 in Kasson, WV, a son of the late Carl J Boyles and the late Corrine Overfield Boyles. Harold was a retiree of General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio. He truly enjoyed spending time with all of his beautiful grandchildren. He loved traveling with his wife and adventuring to new places. He was a true friend to all and generous to many. He always had a special place in his heart for all of his friends at McDonalds in Cortland. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Alice Boyles, two children, Wanda Houchen of Columbus, Ohio, and Harold Boyles Jr. of Morgantown, WV. Three grandchildren: Ashley and Garrett Houchen of Columbus and Zoe Nevaeh Boyles of Morgantown, WV. Seven siblings: Ruth Nicholas of Warren, OH, Lucy Dempsey of Cortland, OH. Martha Poling of Grafton, WV, William Boyles of Hamilton, OH, Velma Gray of Grafton, WV, Linda Colebank of Tunnelton, WV, and Diane Jones, West Farmington, OH and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Della Boyles, a brother Kenneth Boyles, and a grandchild Tristan James Houchen.
