Harold Lee Roberts, age 89, of New Smyrna Beach, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler’s Edgewater Care Center.
Born February 14, 1924 in Cloverport, Kentucky, Mr. Roberts, a boiler room fireman, moved to this area in 1979 from Jeffersonville, Indiana. A United States Navy veteran during World War II and the Korean Conflict, he retired from the Colgate-Palmolive Company in Clarksville, Indiana after 32 years of employment.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, to whom he was a beloved husband for over 50 years; children, Vickie Lynn and Patrick Eaton, Pamela Kay Staggs, Michael Lee and Mary Roberts, Shirley Ann and Robert Raidy, and Dawn Marie Paine; grandchildren, Cameron Colvin, Shawn Roberts, Ben Staggs, Clay Colvin, Mariah and Shawn Proctor, Stacy Stewart, Rachael and Jason Vogt, Chris and Jenny Roberts, and Bethany Roberts; 10 precious great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Mike Basham; and the entire Friend family.
A special thanks and recognition to the many family members, neighbors and dear friends who shared in Harold’s full and happy life.
