Harold L. Buchanan, 78, of Muncie passed away peacefully Sunday morning after a lengthy illness with his loving wife by his side. Harold was a great husband, great father, special grandfather and was loved by everyone who knew him. He graduated from Royerton High School in 1951. He was a veteran of the Marine Corp. from 1951 to 1954. Early in life he worked for the Post Office and later became a skilled trade journeyman for General Motors.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Faye (Reese) Buchanan, two sons Bryan Buchanan (wife-Marleni) of Guatemala, Christopher Buchanan, Muncie, two daughters Andrea Lord of Indianapolis, Karen Frazier (husband-Scott), Anderson, brother Robert Buchanan (wife-Jayne), sister Mary Bejma, five grandchildren Khara, Jordan, Michael, Luke and Lance.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents William and Celia (Mather) Buchanan.
Military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard.
