Harold “Hal” Jesse Fowler Jr., 77, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2019.
Hal was born in Rhinebeck, New York to Harold Fowler and Theresa Conrad. He served during the Cuban Missile Crisis while in the United States Navy. An entrepreneur, Hal owned and operated DTI, a recreational vehicle distribution company in Indiana for many years. After retiring and turning the family business over to his son Jess, Hal and his wife sailed around the world for two years. After their travels, they settled in Port St. Lucie.
Hal had a love of fishing and enjoyed playing golf and boating. He was a kind and generous man who truly enjoyed helping everyone around him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Hal was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Susan in 2018. He is survived by his four children, Cheryl Hoffman (Bruce), Deborah Tubbs (Rob), John Fowler, and Harold “Jess” Fowler III (Missy); grandchildren James, Kelsey, Cansie, Delores Ann, John Raymond, Courtney, and Travis; 9 great-grandchildren; and his sisters June Nelson and Terri Iacovone.
A celebration of Hal’s life will be announced in the near future.
