Harold J. Lawrence, Sr. age 83, of Brick, NJ passed away on October 17th, 2013 at Shorrock Gardens Care Center in Brick, NJ. Born in Paterson, Harold lived most of his life in Plainfield, moving to Brick in 1970. Harold served in the National Guard during the Korean War. He then went on to work for Ocean County Vehicle Maintenance Department as a Purchasing Agent, retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the American Legion in Brick and a member of the Pineland Antique Engine Club. Harold enjoyed antique car shows and old movies. He will be dearly missed by his family. Harold is preceded in death by his son, Harold “Jimmy” Lawrence, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margery Lawrence, his sons, John Lawrence and George Lawrence and his wife Flo and his daughter, Lynn Heller and her husband Larry. One sister, Millicent Michie, six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Lisa, Kris, Georgia, Marsha and Sharon and ten great-grandchildren.
