Harold G. “Hal” Chute, 90, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019.

Hal graduated from Mt. Sterling High School in 1946 and later graduated from International Airline School. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. For 36 years, he worked for American Airlines in the Scheduled Airline Traffic Office (SATO). Hal was also a member of the Veteran’s Club at Del Webb, a Lake Providence singer, a Deacon in the Baptist Church, and a member of the Del Webb Garden Club and Bible study group.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Austiff Chute; children, Michael Douglas (Kathie) Chute, Glenna Lynn (Sam) Spadaro and children and grandchildren by marriage, and Carla Rae (Keith) Coe and children and grandchildren by marriage; grandchildren, Ryan Douglas (Chrissy) Chute and their children, Hannah and Owen and Kristen Leigh-Anne (Jon) Tillman and their children, Ellie and Emma; brother, Calvin Chute; sisters-in-law, Shirley Chute, Jan Chute, and Francie Chute; brother-in-law, Randy (Kay) Austiff; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Cecil Herron Chute; brothers, LaVern (Wanda) Chute, Gale (Bonnie) Chute, Marion Chute, and Harlan Chute; and sister-in-law, Rosie Chute.
