Harold “Ed” Edmund Lanckriet passed away on January 23, 2022, in Canon City, Colorado. He was born on June 18, 1956, in Springfield, Illinois to Margaret Ross-Lanckriet and Fredrick Lanckriet.

Ed spent time in his early years working with the fire department in Holyoke, Colorado. He later worked as a Lead Forman at Rocky Mountain Material and Asphalt, going on to retire from the Newmont Goldmine in Cripple Creek, Colorado in the summer of 2019. He enjoyed leather crafts, a variety of mechanic work (he was able to fix anything), and was a dedicated Nascar fan. He also enjoyed four-wheeling and snowmobiling. He was passionate about camping, fishing, and sitting around a good bonfire. Ed made his family a priority, he was there for them when they needed him, whether they needed advice about life or fishing.

He will be missed deeply by his wife and partner in life, Kathy Lanckriet; his mother, Margaret Lanckriet; sister, Susie Teal; brother, Fred (Kim) Lanckriet; children, Kristopher (Crystal) Lanckriet, Heather (Chad) Huffman, Nicole (Jesus) Barron, Michelle (Darrin) Miller, Thomas Braham II, Jason Waters, Joshua Water, Curtis Hiestand, Cassandra (Ben) Pritt, Eric Schledewitz, and Tracy Scarvinni. He was also blessed with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Lanckriet; brother, Randall Lanckriet; grandparents, Susie and Edmond Lanckriet and Harold and Ruth Ross.
