Harold E “Red” Hutton, 84, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Daleville, IN.

He was born on April 25, 1930 in Middletown, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson. He retired in 1993 after 40 + years of service at Guide Lamp where he worked as a rack room operator, and also worked at Dietzen’s Bakery before entering the Navy, and also a motor carrier for the Anderson Herald.

He was a member of the U.A.W Local #662 in Anderson. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on USS Roanoke from 1948 to 1952. He was a great provider and was the most unselfish man we knew. He loved to take his grandchildren and great-grandchildren rides on his tractor and wagon. They nicknamed him “Tractor”, and he truly loved his family.

He loved to watch all sports, game shows, and old movies. He loved being at home, but enjoyed taking his wife on car rides. Harold is survived by his loving spouse whom he married October 18, 1958, Alberta (Beckley) Hutton; daughter, Aprile D (Stan) Reed of Daleville, IN; Son, James R Hutton of Anderson, IN; sister, Clara May (Dave) Blessing of Anderson, IN, granddaughter, Kristina “Rooney” (Justin) Schultz of Anderson, IN, grandson, Rick J Taylor of Daleville, IN. 5 Great-Grandchildren, Annabelle, Reese, Zane, Violet Sue “Who”, and Seth “Pork Chop”. Step-Daughter, Bonnie Kaye(Ron) Bray; 5 Step-Sons, Larry (Janice), Mark, Roger (Suni), Keith (Debbie), and Mike (Rosie) Marshall; Several Step-Grandchildren, Step-Great-Grandchildren and Step Great-Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson, Jordan Michael Hutton in 2014; father and mother, Roscoe and Doloras Hutton; 5 brothers, Kenneth Hutton, Robert Hutton, Eugene Hutton, Charles Hutton, and Norman Hutton; Step-Grandson, Jack Cummings.
