Harold was baptized December 17, 1922 by Pastor F. Bangert and confirmed June 17, 1936 by Pastor H. Marting at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gilead, NE. He attended School District 77 through the eighth grade and graduated from Hebron High School in 1940. He married Anna M. Fossler on April 22, 1944 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairbury, NE. This union was blessed with the birth of five children. Harold retired from farming in 1980 moving to Fairbury in 1981.
