He was born May 15, 1921 in Fairmount, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He grew up in Summitville and lived all of his life in Madison County.
He retired in 1982 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors. He was a member of First Christian Church of Summitville.
He is survived by his Wife whom he married September 5, 1980: Ruth Kennon Hamilton. Children: Diane & husband Jr. Spearman of Anderson. Kenra & husband Steve Hoover of Indianapolis. Ginger & husband Ron Alexander of Anderson. Barbara Bathauer of Anderson. Eva Henry of Land O’Lakes, Florida. Ruth Ann Lucas of Ft. Wayne. Debbie & husband Danny Bybee of Anderson. Sisters: Betty Miller, Jean & husband Max Bramel and Mary Lou & husband William Farrer. Sister-in-law: Colleen Hamilton. Aunts: Lucille Harrold and Mary Luke. Three Nieces, Six Nephews, Six Great Nieces, Eleven Great Nephews, Several Great Great Nieces & Nephews, Twenty One Step Grandchildren, Several Step Great Grandchildren and Several Step Great Great Grandchildren.
Thanks to all the nursing staff at Community Hospital; especially Community Hospital Nurse, Kim Stephens and Everyone’s Prayers. He was preceded by his Parents: Floyd & Marguerite Zan Vess Hamilton. Step Son: Richard Lucas. Twin Brother: Howard Hamilton. Step Son-in-law: Ken Bathauer. Step Grandson: Danny Bybee. Brother-in-law: David Miller. Niece: Dea Jane Miller. Nephew: Brian Farmer.
