Harold B. Bower, 87, of 548 Lehman Drive, Cogan Station, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Williamsport Hospital.
Born November 5, 1923 in Hepburnville, he was a son of George and Laura Burr Bower.
He was a graduate of Hepburnville High School and owned and operated his farm for many years. He retired after 23 years as a tractor trailer driver from Stroehmann Bakeries.
Harold was a member of Newberry Church of Christ. He enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, riding his four-wheeler on the farm, singing gospel songs, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harold and his wife, Doris (Knopp) Bower, would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2011.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Harlan Bower (Patricia) of Cogan House, Randy Bower (Daun) of Cogan House, Jodi Wolfe (George) of Montoursville, Lynnae Witmer (Bob) of Williamsport, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mildred Peace of Cogan Station.
He was preceded in death by three siblings Carl and Edgar Bower and Verna Lehman.
