Harold A. Haumesser, Jr. of Carlyle died Monday, December 29, 2008 at the age of 78 years. He was born in Wade Township/Clinton County, Illinois on April 11, 1930 the son of Harold A. Haumesser, Sr. and Lisette Lappe.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Pansy Defend. Mr. Haumesser is survived by nieces and nephews: Larry Defend and wife Rose of Nashville, TN, Max Defend of Carlyle, John Defend and wife Susie of Trenton, Judy Defend of Centralia, Cindy Hoerchler and husband Dan of Carlyle; great nieces and great nephews: Benessa Defend of Yokohama, Japan, Caleb Defend of Nashville, TN., Lisette Libscomb of Atlanta, GA. and Lexie Defend of Trenton; and a special friend Geraldine Strotheide of Carlyle.
Harold was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Carlyle where he had served on the Church Council and the Finance Board. He was also a member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau and the Clinton County Electrical Co-Op.
