Hans Kandell, 81, of Ottawa, died on December 13, 2014 at the Ottawa Pavilion.
Hans was born on December 22, 1932 in Berlin, Germany to Erich and Margarete (Rosen) Kandell. He moved to America from Germany when he was 16. He married Roberta Nolte on May 28, 1960 in Tinley Park. Hans was a veteran of the US Army and served in Korea. He was a purchasing manager at the American National Bank in Chicago until his retirement. Hans loved to build military miniatures, one of which will be going into the Norway, IL Museum.
He is survived by his wife Roberta, of Ottawa, 2 sons, Gary and Doug Kandell, both of Oshkosh, WI and 2 grandchildren Rachel and Ryan Kandell. He was preceded in death by his parents.
