Hanna (née Schipper), on March 27. Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John Henry Carp, and by a son, John Stephanius, “Stephen”. Died at Hyde Park Care Center, recently a resident of Evergreen Retirement Center in Hartwell, and a past resident of Forest Park. Born on September 20, 1930 at The Hague, Netherlands, she was the only child of Nicolaas Schipper and Jikke Hartog.
After graduation from the science department in high school, Hanna graduated from a career college where she pursued the basic curriculum for chemical analyst. She worked for the Applied Science Research Organization and Analytical Institute in Rijswijk, where she did chemical research, and analyses of dry pigments, electrolytical copper, and various metals and alloys. She also met her future husband there.
