Hannah Amelia. Carter, 99, passed away, Tuesday, June 1, 2010, following an extended illness at the Waters of Yorktown. She was born July 28, 1910, in Lewisburg, Ohio, the daughter of George and Mary (Becker) Diefenbaugh.
She worked at American Lawnmower and Durham Manufacturing, and was a loving mother, and housewife.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia A. Norman, (husband, Robert), of Indianapolis; and her son, Larry Carter, (wife, Betty), of Muncie. Hannah also is survived by nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Diefenbaugh, her mother, Mary (Becker) Diefenbaugh, her husband, Franklin Carter, a son, James J. Carter, six sisters and five brothers.
