BARKS, Halloween “Holly” Of Kalamazoo. Died March 15, 2011 at Tendercare of Westwood. Halloween was born October 31, 1916 in Success, AR, daughter of James and Mary VanNada and has lived in Kalamazoo since 1942. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Washington Elementary School and later at Miller Auditorium as a wardrobe person.
Holly was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Barks, a son Hershel Barks, 5 sisters and 1 brother. Surviving are a son Guy Barks of Pine Lake; 3 brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.
