Haldan J Carlsen, 87, died peacefully at home after a brief illness surrounded by his family, Thursday December 22, 2022.
Haldan was born May 13 1935 in Essington PA to the late Halvdan M Carlsen and Esther C Carlsen. After graduating from Ridley High School, Haldan worked 42 years as a mechanical engineer for General Electric, 10 of those years at the Salisbury, NC plant.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Christine Thomas.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 66 years Barbara Schlitter Carlsen, children; Eleanor Fricano (Don), Barbara Carlsen, Richard Carlsen, Joan Gillon (David), grandchildren; Jason Fricano, Daniel Fricano (Rachel), Courtney Khoury (George), great-grandchildren; Aurora, Mason, Ethan, Alexis, Amelia and one on the way, sister Eleanor Clark of Pennsylvania, numerous nieces and nephews and his pup Milo.
