H. Raymond Meyer, 86 of Irvington, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.
He was born April 9, 1929 in Centralia, son of Henry Meyer and Minnie (Brueger) Meyer. He married Evelyn Rahn on March 3, 1952 in Hoyleton and she preceded him in death on April 30, 2009.
Mr. Meyer is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Corners and husband Rick of Centralia; 2 Grandson’s: Brent Corners and wife Ashley of Centralia and Blake Corners and wife Brittany of O’Fallon; 3 great-grandchildren: Callen Lee Corners, Aftynn Jane Corners and Ava Lynn Corners all of Centralia. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Raymond was a farmer all of his life. He lived to farm. He was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau and Friedens United Church of Christ in Irvington. He enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling with Bill Windler on Monday nights. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
