She passed away at 2:22 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born Jan. 18, 1918, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Frank H. and Mary J. Boyer Parker. She was married in 1940 to Paul R. Steckel, who preceded in death on April 13, 1959.
Jane was retired from H.W. Gossard Co. after 20 years of employment.
Surviving are sons, Stephen (Yvonne) Steckel, Las Vegas, and John Steckel, Logansport; grandchildren, Caleb Steckel, Logansport, and Katie Davis, Atlanta, Ga.; stepgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Brugh; grandsons, Joshua Steckel and Andrew Brugh; and great-grandsons, Jake Varnell and John Varnell.
