Mr. Henry Eugene Jones, 71, of Newnan passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. He was born May 31, 1943 in Columbus, GA to the late Henry Paul Jones & Dorothy Folds Jones.
Mr. Jones was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired in 2002 as Director-Human Resources Rome Lumber/Forest after a 35-year career with Temple-Inland. He was an active member at Line Creek Baptist Church where he served as chairman of deacons prior to ill health. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed being with his family and helping his church family in any way possible.
Survivors include wife, Glenda Payne Jones; daughters, Missy (Roy III) Roughton, Mindy Greer, Michele Hand; grandchildren, Lindsey (Anthony) Schuch, Kymberly Findley, Codey Hand, Magan Greer, Dillon Greer, Roy Roughton IV; great-grandchild, Cole Thomas and a second great-grandchild Ava Schuch due in July 2015; siblings, Brenda (Larry) Duncan, Tom (Linda) Jones, Pauline Williams, Patricia Grover, Sanford Jones, and Larry (Kathy) Jones.
