H. Arthur “Art” Pfeifer, Jr., 86, of Sea Bright, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Born in Norristown, PA to Herman and Ruth Pfeifer, Art was a graduate of the University of Virginia and served in the United States Navy as a pilot, serving on aircraft carriers from 1957 to 1959. Afterwards, Art served in the Naval Reserves, retiring in 1995. He worked for many years as a plant manager for Henry Company in South River, NJ, also retiring in 1995. An avid boater throughout his life, Art was Past Commodore of the Shrewsbury River Yacht Club. Art loved flying planes, traveling the world and cherishing moments with his family and grandchildren.
Art is predeceased by his parents, Herman and Ruth Pfeifer, his sister, Janet Marvin and his first wife, Jacqueline Pfeifer.
Art is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Bernadette Pfeifer, his loving children, Valerie Pfeifer and partner Rick Hanser, Hap Pfeifer and wife Cheryl, Adrienne Scheuing and husband James and Stan Lachiewicz, as well as 3 cherished grandchildren, Meghan, Caley and Delaney.
