Gwendolyn “Gwen” WellerAge 92 of Laingsburg passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at Welcome Home Assisted Living.Funeral services will be held 11am Friday, June 14, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Norman Beckwith. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm and on Friday from 10am until the time of service at the church.Gwendolyn was born June 7, 1927 in Owosso, the daughter of Raymond and Helen (VanCuren) Bailey.She graduated from Owosso High School. Gwen was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was active with the church choir, United Methodist Women, Country Gals and Women’s Fellowship.She married Charles J. Weller at Owosso Baptist Church on July 14, 1945; he predeceased her on December 5, 2013.Gwendolyn was employed through the years at Redmonds and Universal Electric and retired from Cerveny Jewelers after 16 years of service.Gwendolyn is survived by her daughters Carol (Walter) Smith of Grand Rapids, Diane (Norman) Campbell of Durand and Darlene (Gerry) Stead of DeWitt; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.She was predeceased by her husband Charles; parents Raymond and Helen; brother Walter; son-in-law Walter Smith; sisters-in-laws Margie and Viola.Memorial contributions are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church, Great Lakes Hospice or Welcome Home Assisted Living.Online condolences may be sent to the family at Nelson-House.com.
