Gwendolyn Anderson, age 78, of Spencer and formerly of Albert City, Iowa, died Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Long House Nursing Home in Spencer, Iowa.
Gwendolyn Luetta Wilner was born on May 8, 1927 in Laurens, Iowa to Benjamin and Ruth Wilner.
On June 25, 1948, Gwendolyn was united in marriage to Duane Anderson. Their union was blessed with two sons, Dennis and David and one daughter, Delores. Gwendolyn was a homemaker who loved to keep a warm and comfortable home for her family. In her spare moments, she liked to sew, and enjoyed camping and fishing. She was a loving wife and devoted mother who especially treasured time with her children and grandchildren enjoying family activities. Her caring presence will be missed daily by those who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of more than 57 years, Duane Anderson of Spencer; son Dennis and wife Margaret Anderson of Lawton, Iowa; son David Anderson of Truesdale, Iowa; daughter Delores Anderson of Pheonix, Arizona; grandchildren: Brandon Anderson of Fonda, Iowa; Rebecca Anderson, Benjamin Anderson and Michelle Anderson, all of Lawton, Iowa; as well as extended family and many friends.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Ruth Wilner.
