DURHAM Mrs. Gwendolyn Alease Wilson, 91 a former resident of Durham, died on Sunday, August 18, 2013. Mrs. Wilson was born in Durham to the late Marvin McGhee and Mina Clements McGhee. She was a member of Braggtown Baptist Church. She regularly attended the Durham Community Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wilson; sons, Charles Edward Herndon, Marvin Ray Herndon and John Wayne Herndon and a sister Wanda M. Green. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Hoffman of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
