Gwen Wallace Couch gently left this world for that glorious reunion with her Lord and all those who had gone on before her on Saturday, October 17, 2015.
She entered this life on June 18, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Paul Wallace and Ann Duncan Knight. After high school, Gwen spent some years at C&S Bank where she worked in the loan department and became a mainstay to many of the bank’s commercial customers. She found her true place in life later for she was a faithful employee of the Coweta County School System for 20 years at The Burwell Program at Westside School. She cherished the school and her opportunity of service there. Her faith found a resting place at her beloved Trinity Baptist Church where she was a member for thirty years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Ken Couch. As the matriarch of her family, she was the loving wife of Buddy Couch for 52 years. She was a proud mother of her son, Kevin, and her daughter by marriage, Julie. Oh, and how she loved her granddaughters Amber and Autumn Couch. Her furry friend “Little Buddy” was always close at hand. Also, surviving are her siblings Marsha Gray, Paul Wallace, Jr., Mark Wallace, and Ray Wallace and his wife Becky. There is an extended family of cousins and nieces.
