Guynith Raye Penn, 81, of DeMotte, Indiana passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village in DeMotte, Indiana.
Guynith was born on July 30, 1935 in Benton, Tennessee, the daughter of M. V. And Lottie (Lynch) Hatley. On January 28, 1953 she married James H. Penn and he preceded her in death on August 29, 2011. With her husband, Guynith previously co-owned Postal Instant Press and been a housewife.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of DeMotte and had been involved in various church activities. Guynith is survived by her children, James H. Penn JR and Kimberly Gail (Tim) Mount both of DeMotte and 2 grandsons, Nathan Mount and Deric (Heather) Mount. Guynith was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 sisters, Wilma Smith, Golden Connell and Flo Connell.
