Guy R. LeBel, 54, of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, formerly of Plainville, CT, died on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, after a prolonged battle with cancer.
He was born in Grand Falls, the son of Nora (Belanger) LeBel and the late Elude LeBel. He was raised, educated, and employed in Plainville, where he was also a longtime active member of the Rotary Club. Guy took pride in his ability to make others laugh, and was always the first to lend a hand to those in need.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pam (O’Neil) LeBel; his children, Lea and Kelly McCabe of Bristol, Anthony LeBel and his wife, Lana of Collinsville and Susan LeBel of Collinsville; his step-children, Dustin and Katelyn Demmings of Grand Falls, NB; and many close friends, including Roger and Pierrette Plourde and Kareem and Sarah Allwood of Plainville. He also leaves his sisters, Solange and her husband, Clairmont Kirouac, Colombe Bradley, Carolle Grandbois, and Diane and her husband, Andrew Butler; two brothers, Camille and his wife, Paula of Plainville and Rino and his wife, Debbie of Palm Coast, FL., along with his in-laws, George and Glenetta O’Neil of New Brunswick, his godchildren, Nicole LeBel, Michael Cyr, and Keri Peterson-Sherwood; 13 nieces and nephews, and 6 great-nieces and nephews.
