Gustavo (Gus) Sanchez Jr., AKA DJ Langs, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday July 14, 2020 at his residence with loved ones near by. He was born July 25, 1974 in Houston, TX the son of Gustavo Sanchez Davila and Amada Zamora. He attended Harlingen Public Schools and played football at Coakley Jr. High and Harlingen High. He still holds the record for longest field goal at Coakley Middle School. He enjoyed playing basketball and football. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He was a diehard fan. Gus was a DJ and loved mixing music. He had an infectious sense of humor and was always happy and joking with friends and family. He was also a volunteer at the Harlingen Boys and Girls Club as a coach for youth basketball. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Candace Monique Ortiz, maternal grandparents, Matilde Zamora, step grandpa, Sabas Caballero, grandfather, Rufino Zamora, paternal grandparents, Marcelino Davila and Dominga Sanchez.
He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memory, his sons, Gustavo Sanchez III, Gustavo Lorenzo Sanchez, Angel Mateo Sanchez, Noah Alexander Sanchez, stepsons, Deion Jordan Sanchez, Shawn Michael Sanchez and David Caballero Jr., his parents, Gustavo Sanchez Davila and Amada Zamora, his brothers and sisters, Mary Lou Gonzalez (Paul), Dominga Zamora, Cassandra Sanchez, Marcelino Sanchez (Amy) and Rufino Sanchez (Diane). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces, cousins and friends.
