Corporal Gustaf E. ” GUS ” Carlson, WWII Veteran, United States Army and lifelong resident of Stoughton, passed away at home surrounded by his loving wife of 53 years and children on October 1, 2013. He was 85 years old and the beloved husband of Mrs. Virginia ( Hood ) Carlson. He is survived by his children, Eric R. “RICK” Carlson and his wife Anne of Wareham, Steven G. Carlson of Falmouth and Scott D. Carlson of Stoughton. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Cassie Carlson, Jessica Carlson, Cory – Lynn Carlson, Leah Carlson, Robert Carlson, Steven Carlson Jr., Stephen Harrison, Scott Harrison, his loving sister Aina M. ( Carlson ) McMann of Stoughton and his daughter – in – law Jill Carlson.
