What a beautiful reunion occurred on January 31, 2019, when Guadalupe Rios reunited with her husband, two sons, two grandsons and many other family members with her Lord in Heaven. Guadalupe Rios was born in Forreston, Ellis County, Texas on May 5, 1921 to Alejandro and Gregoria Savala. She loved her big family. She met the love of her life Joe Rios and together they raised their four children. Joe and Guadalupe were married 51 years. Guadalupe was hard working lady as she cared for her family and home. When the children we a little older she went to work at Fishburn’s Dry Cleaners where she worked for over 40 years prior to her retirement. She was honored as a deluxe presser because of her attention to detail and care. She pressed the special items like bridal gowns and quinceañera gowns that needed to be just right. When she retired, her boss really did not want her to leave because she was such a valued employee. Guadalupe loved to cook and her family loved for her to cook. Her specialty was Chicken Mole and everyone loved her tamales at Christmas time. Everything flourished under Guadalupe’s care including plants. She simply had a green thumb. Guadalupe loved being a grandmother. She adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Guadalupe Rios is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Rios; sons, Inez Juan and Jessie Rios; grandsons, Greggory and Anthony Holloway; her parents Alejandro and Grogoria Savala; siblings Jesse Savala, Rosa Savala, and Bessie Savala-Zambrano. She leaves behind until she greets them on the other side, her daughter Mary Holloway; son Frank Rios and his wife Kathy; grandchildren Frankie Rios, Johnny Rios, Sylva Olivarez, Benjamin Rios, Leonard Rios, Christopher Holloway, Jason Holloway, Angela Wilkins, Teresa Hopkins, Julie Rios, Denise Henry, Rosanna Rios, Carlos Rios, and Michael Rios; 27 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and siblings, Gregoria Savala-Ibarra, Mary Savala-Hernandez, Fidencio Savala and Daniel Savala.

A loving wife, mother and grandmother and a hard working lady is at rest and will be deeply missed.
