Grover Jordan, 89, of Dowagiac, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in his residence.He was born in Lake Village, Arkansas, on October 24, 1922, to James and Victoria (Keys) Jordan. His wife Mozelle Jordan preceded him in death in 1991. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Margaret Jones, Vivian Stubbs, and Eliza Elizabeth Lark; and four brothers, Claude Jordan, Ivory Jordan, Floyd Jordan, and Willie Jordan. Grover committed his life to Jesus Christ at an early age. He was a member of Conner-Mayo A.M.E. Church, Dowagiac.Mr. Jordan served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

For many years he worked as an electrical technician. He was employed for many years by Hamilton Sandstrand in Michigan prior to his retirement.He was a history buff and an avid reader. He loved talking about the Bible and loved taking his daily walks. He enjoyed fishing in his younger days. Grover is survived by one sister, Lillie Mae Fisher of South Bend, Indiana and niece Patricia (Napoleon) Pittman of South Bend. There were no children born of his marriage to Mozelle, however he had a host of other nieces and nephews who will mourn his passing.
