He was born September 21, 1924 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided at Barton Lake-Fremont, Indiana. He lived in this area most of his life until retirement. He retired from Holland Motor Express in 1981. He was a member of Tri-County Christian Church in Middletown and Teamsters Union #135.
He is survived by his Wife of 56 1/2 years: Harriet McKee Callender. One Son: Louis & wife Elaine Callender of Manchester, Tennessee. One Daughter: Sandy & husband Bill Holliday of Fremont. One Brother: Charles & wife Shirley Callender of Anderson. Four Grandchildren: Heather & husband Dave Fletcher, David & wife Cindi Callender, Danny Callender and Rex & wife Becky Holliday. Eight Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces & Nephews and his most special friend: Ron Spade of Fremont.
He was preceded by his Parents: James Frederick & Elizabeth Frances Hollowell Callender. Three Brothers: Frank Callender, Tom Callender and Louis Callender. One Sister: Thelma Campbell.
